The Scandinavians have a word for balance — the concept of not too much, not too little, just right — they call it lagom and it’s at the heart of the Rene Fris hair care philosophy:

A return to simple, beautiful living.

THE DISCOVERY

René’s ultra-clean, pared-down approach has long stood in stark contrast to the convoluted and needlessly complicated methods favored by much of the hair industry. After struggling for years to find a product that would provide control, add volume and eliminate frizz without robbing hair of the easy, natural movement so key to a clean, healthy style, Rene set out to create his own.

With the René Fris hair care line, René’s natural, low-maintenance look is now accessible to the world beyond the salon.

The result of more than a decade of salon and laboratory development, the transformative product line harnesses the regenerating power of Scandinavia’s precious Cloudberry. A potent antioxidant rich in Vitamins A, C and E as well as Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, Cloudberry combats oxidative stress to nourish the scalp and enhance every hair type: women’s and men’s, straight and curly, thick and fine, medium and coarse.

Featuring innovative, breakthrough formulations and a clean, intoxicating signature scent, the René Fris hair care line is a marvel of cutting edge technology and natural botanicals — as well as a true testament to the power of lagom.

THE STYLIST

Born and raised in Denmark, René Fris has been a hair stylist for 20 years, working in the United States, Japan, Australia, Italy, England, Germany, Norway and his native Denmark. Yet no matter which global capital he called home or which international celebrity was sitting in his stylist’s chair, René never strayed from the principles of lagom.

Uncomplicated, effortless luxury has become his trademark and his claim to fame, landing him starring roles as host of Bravo’s Shear Genius and Europe’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, as well as countless appearances on TV shows such as The Today Show, The Early Show, EXTRA and many others.
