HOW TO AIR DRY YOUR HAIR

As the days get hotter, the last thing you might want to do is pull out your hot tools and deal with styling your hair. Luckily, with the number of products out there, you no longer have to blow dry or straighten your hair to get a red carpet-ready look.

CONSIDER YOUR HAIR TYPE

When using a product in your hair without blow drying, you should consider using less, especially if your hair is fine and straight. However, if your hair is thicker or dark, it can handle more product in it, and might even need it to give it of extra volume or texture.

START WITH A GOOD CLEANSER AND CONDITIONER

Air drying your hair properly actually starts in the shower with the cleanser and conditioner you choose. Rene Fris’ line includes one of the best hair cleanser & conditioners in the industry. It includes D-Panthenol to help reduce the signs of damage in your hair, add shine and luster, and create the ideal scalp environment. It keeps the hair fresh while giving it life. By starting with a strong foundation, you can ensure that your locks don’t look flat if you aren’t using heat to style it.

If you are battling frizz, especially in the summer humidity, then you should consider finding a cleanser and conditioner that is created specifically to battle frizz. Consider this one from Rene Fris’ line

USE A CONDITIONING PRODUCT THAT GIVES YOU STYLE

As you start your air drying hair journey, you will quickly realize that some styling products are just too heavy for air drying and might weigh it down, reducing your volume and style. Make sure to pick a product that gives you volume without adding too much product build-up in your hair. We love this styling cream from Rene Fris’ line because not only does it give you great style, it also helps to repair and protect your hair from pollutants and oxidative stressors. It is a lightweight product that gives you the perfect amount of volume.

BEACH SPRAYS CAN BE DRYING

If you do decide to use a beach spray, make sure to take extra precautions. If you have a lot of great texture, you might need just a little bit of beach sprays, but if your hair is more fine or dry, you will need to add a serum or oil to your hair if you decide to use a beach spray to counteract the drying sea salt. You can try to mix a conditioning cream and a few spritzes of a sea spray in your hands, and then work them through your damp hair to get the perfect non-crunchy beach waves.

DON’T WASH IT THE NEXT DAY

If you are loving your hair on the first day, it is going to look even better tomorrow. Second-day hair combines the product with natural oils that combine to give you the perfect balance between definition and volume. It gives you tons of styling options and will convince you that air drying is the way to go in the summer!
